The following are the requirements for admission to Diploma and Certificate programs
The College offers courses both on Government supported and Private sponsorship. Courses Offered at the College and Admission Requirements;
National Diploma in Civil Engineering (NDCE)
Either: One Principal Pass in either Physics or Mathematics and two subsidiary passes in science subjects
Or (i) A degree in physical sciences
(ii) Advanced Craft certificate in: Block laying and Concreting Practice, Plumbing and Carpentry and Joinery.
National Diploma in Water Engineering (NDWE)
Either: One Principal Pass in either Physics or Mathematics and two subsidiary passes in science subjects
Or (i) A degree in physical sciences
(ii) Advanced Craft certificate in: Block laying and Concreting Practice, Plumbing and Carpentry and Joinery.
National Diploma in Architecture (NDA)
Either: One Principal Pass in either Physics or Mathematics and two subsidiary passes in science subjects
Or (i) A degree in physical sciences
(ii) Advanced Craft certificate in: Block laying and Concreting Practice, Plumbing and Carpentry and Joinery.
National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (NDME)
Either: One Principal Pass in either Physics or Mathematics and two subsidiary passes in science subjects
Or (i) A degree in physical sciences
(ii) Mechanical Engineering Craft Practice Part II, Motor Vehicle Technicians Course Part II and Agricultural Mechanics Part II.
National Diploma in Electrical Engineering (NDEE)
Either: One Principal Pass in either Physics or Mathematics and two subsidiary passes in science subjects
Or (i) A degree in physical sciences (ii) Advanced craft certificate in Electrical Installation, and Radio and Television Electronic Technician course.
National Diploma in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (NDRA)
A candidate shall be eligible for admission with the following minimum qualification:
- At least one Principle pass in either Physics or Mathematics obtained at the same sitting of the advanced level examinations or its equivalent. The advanced level subjects shall be classified as follows; Essential - Physics and Mathematics x3, Relevant - Chemistry, Economics, Technical drawing, metalwork or woodwork x2, Desirable - General paper, any other Technical subject x1
- At least a credit National certificate from a recognised Institution in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning or any other related Engineering field as approved by the selection committee constituted by the Ministry of Education and Sports.
- A bachelor's degree in Physical science discipline froma reconised institution
